TRAINING

CLASSES AND PRIVATES LESSONS

Hitting and fielding class will fix all of your fundamentals so you can build on it and become a much better player.  Many people think they play well but lack the basic form in catching and throwing, hitting and can take these bad habits to high school and miss out on opportunities to play at a higher level.  We fix this early on so that you can build on becoming a better player.  This class is great for advanced players needing to get their work in and be in constant improvement.

Catching or Pitching Series

​Wednesdays 6-7pm at Oaktown Facility taught by Meagan and Sammy

Ages 10U and above should bring their own equipment.

Catching Class :

Learn how to be a better catcher by an All American catcher that played in high school and college as a catcher.  Players should bring their own gear.  Starts Sept. 11th Class will cover:
Proper body mechanics for catching
Throwing mechanics 
Blocking and framing
Players will be seperated by skill level.    
4 class series $80
About the Instructor:
Samantha Burciaga was born and raised in Pasadena CA. She grew up playing every sport possible including soccer, ice skating, but decided to focus on softball, basketball and karate. She earned her 2nd degree black belt and became an instructor by the age of 12. She earned 3 mvp's during travel ball season for softball. Once she got to high school, she became captain of the varisty softball team as a freshman. She led her team in RBI's and batting percentage. Her freshman year of high school she earned 2nd All American Team as a catcher. Junior and Senior year of high school she earned 1st Team All American as a catcher. In College she tore her ACL which ended her softball playing careeg at which time she transferred to coaching travel ball for multiple years.  She then moved on from coaching travel ball to coaching at the College Level. She was an Assistant Coach for San Diego Christian College a NAIA division private school and recruits for Central Christian College . On top of coaching, she is also running their Conditioning program as well.

Pitching Class: 

Pitching class series taught by Meagan Dixon is the first of its kind in the area.  Using the Alejandro Lopez Herrera pitching philosophy of building pitchers form the legs up through the arms. This class will show you how to develope a pitching routine to prevent injury and maximize your longevity as a pitcher.  
•    How to create balance in your body

•    How to engage your core in pitching    
•    How to use your legs to drive power in your pitching
•    How to integrate proper spin on the ball
•    What exercises to do at home to improve your pitching
You will also receive homework to do at home since becoming a good pitcher means practicing a lot more than just in class.  Series of 4 classes, must pre-register, no drop ins.

Cost is $80 for four classes

Intro to Sofball and Baseball Class 

This class is for boys and girls ages 5-8 that want to learn how to play the game right from the beginning.  They will learn how to catch and throw, hit, footwork and overall game knowledge.  Taught by the head coaches of the facility every Wednesday from 5-6pm at Oaktown starts Sept. 11-goes through Nov. 20th. Cost is $165 per series of 11 classes.

Strength and Conditioning with Sammy

Ideeal for girls and boys 10 years and above

Class will cover:

Developing your core to transfer energy to your muscles

Skills to be faster, stronger, quicker

Proper stretching, mobility and Injury prevention

Specific care for arms and knees
